Fellowship Program

The Mon Valley Fellowship Program, established by the Greater
Pennsylvania Foundation (GPEF), is designed to enhance skills and
knowledge acquired during residency training with advanced
surgical education in the areas of Reconstructive Surgery of the
Foot & Ankle, Diabetic Limb Salvage and Lower Extremity Trauma
Management. The program offers a unique opportunity to work
with expert surgeons who are dedicated to education, research,
and community outreach.

The Fellow will be expected to medically, conservatively, and
surgically manage patients independently and in team settings,
coordinate quarterly CME lectures, participate in resident
education, continue current research, as well as develop new projects. The Fellow will have the opportunity to customize a portion of the fellowship based on individual interests (ex: external fixation, deformity correction, limb lengthening, sports medicine, wound care, arthroscopy, etc.)

Program Details

- One position available for podiatric surgeon from PMS-36 residency program

- 12 month fellowship that begins annually in August, approximately 600 surgical cases/year

- Teaching faculty includes fellowship trained foot & ankle surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine experts and physical rehabilitation physicians
